I absolutely LOVE this set!! It is so much prettier in reality. I took a massive amount of pictures hoping I can demonstrate just how pretty this is. I had placed this set in the cart and literally agonized over it. I mean I already had a pair of nippers, a needle case, an awl and of course several ill fitting thimbles. Meaning that this was purely frivolous, simply something that I really would like to have. Using matching quality tools. That's like having a matching set of high thread count sheets. Okay so I tried to delete them out of the cart and I just couldn't allow myself to do so. I "settled" for the Save For Later option. Well my husband saw them and wonderful that he is he ordered them for me. These come in a beautiful wooden box that is velvet lined an specifically designed for this set. the quality is very nice and they are so beautiful I have had these for weeks and have not used them yet. I wanted them to use. I had every intent of making them mine and something that my family got used to seeing. But I'm afraid. Most of all I['m afraid of losing any of the pieces. Afraid that I might lay a piece down somewhere and never see it again Or maybe I'll be too busy admiring how pretty they are to remember to run that needle and thread through that cloth. Please look at the photos as they are most likely the better description as Arthur Brisbane, a newspaper editor, stated in 1911 "a picture is worth a thousand words". The box is very cheap and the lid was severely warped.The accessories are very well made and I enjoy using them. The box (for the price I paid) should be better made. The lock on the front is not sturdy at all. When I first opened the package, it was broken. I fixed it with no problem but for the price, I believe the box could be made better.beautiful - the box could be sturdier.I did not like the quality and as an avid quilter did not find them useful, a show piece only.I wouldn't recommend this item at all.
